Stolen Boys and Girls Club van found in West Des Moines

CEDAR RAPIDS - The van stolen from the Boys and Girls Club earlier this month has been recovered in West Des Moines.
A break-in occurred at the Polk Alternative Education Center, 1500 B Avenue NE, on April 11. In addition to the 15-passenger van, the suspect stole three laptops, a Wii gaming console and several video games. Police said the suspect also urinated and defecated on sporting equipment inside the building.
Cedar Rapids police are working with West Des Moines authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police said a suspect has not been located, but they have received valuable tips from the public after releasing surveillance photographs and a video clip, which is available for viewing on the department's Facebook page.
