The 2025 Iowa high school all-state volleyball teams

Neither Reese Naeve nor Rowan Jacobi were honored as a first-team all-state volleyball player in 2024.

Both made the jump this fall, and then some.

A senior at Iowa City Regina, Naeve was selected to the eight-player Elite team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Jacobi, a senior at Springville, is the Class 1A player of the year.

Naeve finished her career with 2,525 kills, 1,548 digs, 146 aces and 100 blocks. The Iowa State University signee was second in the state in kills this season at 6.29 per set, and she terminated at a .334 rate.

She led the Regals to the state tournament as a junior and as a senior. They finished 30-14 this season.

Jacobi’s college sport is basketball (she’ll attend the University of South Dakota). The 6-foot-2 middle averaged 5.58 kills per set and posted a .393 kill efficiency.

Springville (26-13) was the champion of the Tri-Rivers Conference tournament, and reached the 1A regional finals.

Naeve and Jacobi highlight a list of nine area first-team selections.

Iowa City West’s Sophia Austen was selected in 5A. Clear Creek Amana’s duo of Averie Lower and Emily Henderson were 4A first-teamers.

The 3A first team included Lauren LeClere of West Delaware, Jovi Evans of Mid-Prairie and Sophie Sander of Anamosa.

Jacobi was joined on the 1A first team by Addison Hochstetler of North Tama.

Hinton senior Bailey Boeve was selected as the all-class player of the year. A Creighton recruit, Boeve led the Blackhawks to a runner-up finish in 2A.
