Stolte, Stratton inducted Friday

FORT DODGE -- Lauren Stolte (Cedar Rapids Jefferson, 2005) and Stephanie Stratton (Clear Creek Amana, 2002) will be inducted into the IGHSAU Softball Hall of Fame Friday.The ceremony will be between the 4A and 3A championship games, around 4 p.m.Stolte compiled an 85-8 record at Jefferson, including 23-0 as a sophomore. As a senior, she was the 4A Pitcher of the Year.Stratton was CCA's leadoff hitter for five seasons and was a two-time Elite all-stater. She hit .536 as a junior, .545 as a senior. In her career, she batted .451 with 121 extra-base hits, 234 steals and 313 runs scored.Also inducted will be Kathy Brueck of Burlington Notre Dame and JoDee Ogden of Davenport West.Jefferson Coach Larry Niemeyer will be honored for earning his 2,000th win earlier this season
