Fried chicken restaurant opens at Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville

CORALVILLE — A new restaurant specializing in fusion of fried chicken flavors is starting to heat up at Coral Ridge Mall.

La Fry Co., a new offering from the owners of La Wine Bar & Restaurant, a Korean restaurant in Iowa City, had a soft opening in September at 1451 Coral Ridge Ave.

“From the streets of Seoul to the food markets of Mexico City and the heart of America — we’re reimagining fried chicken, one bold bite at a time,” the restaurant said in its opening social media post.

Menu and grand opening details are not yet available, but social media posts promise a focus on golden, crispy skin and globally-inspired sauces.
