Lee Allen Timmerman, 77, of Bennett, died peacefully at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton, with family surrounding him on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014. Funeral services for Lee will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton. Graveside and burial services will follow at Inland Cemetery in Bennett, with a luncheon to be held immediately after at the Bennett Community Center. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton.
A memorial has been established for Bennett Ambulance Services, Bennett Fire Department and Cedar Manor Nursing Home, all in Lee's honor.

Lee Allen Timmerman was born Jan. 5, 1937, in Big Rock, Iowa, the son of J. Leon Timmerman and Alice Dorothy DeWulf Timmerman. Lee graduated from Bennett High School, class of 1955. He married Janice Laucamp Timmerman in 1956; she passed away in October 1979. He later married Dolores Jedlicka Reeve on April 10, 1987.
Lee farmed in the Lowden and Bennett area, retiring in 2010. He was a member of Cedar County Farm Bureau board, producer for Lean and Meaty, parts and salesman for Bennett Ford and producer/salesman for McClean County Hog Service.
He spent many hours attending his children's and grand-children's school activities. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton.
Lee is survived by his wife, Dolores; daughters, Kay (Dave) Burmeister of New Liberty and Keri Lambert of Olathe, Kan.; sons, Kim (Kerri) Timmerman and Kevin (Angie) Timmerman, both of Bennett, Kraig (Jeanne) Timmerman of New Liberty, Kent (Amee) Timmerman of Jefferson, Ga., and Karl (Shelly) Timmerman of Cummings, Ga.; stepchildren, Cindy (Dale) Kunde, Deanne (George) Robinson, Mike (Shelly) Reeve, Susie Reeve, Jim (Pam) Reeve and Ruth (Mike) Clark; siblings, Barb Ihns, Beverly Green, Theresa Quinn, Larry Paul Timmerman and David Timmerman; 18 grandchildren; 19 stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Laucamp Timmerman, who died in 1979; and a stepgreat-grandson, Cael David Burmeister.
