CHARLES L. "CHUCK" HITE
Alburnett
Charles L. (Chuck) Hite, 85, of Alburnett, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Per his request, there will be no visitation. There will be a private Celebration of Life held at a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is handling the needs of the family.
Chuck was born Nov. 3, 1929, in New Sharon, Iowa. He married Freida Knapp on Jan. 14, 1951. Chuck was a lifelong farmer and really enjoyed raising livestock.
Survivors include his wife, Freida; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Amy of Hiawatha; daughter, Judy Leidigh of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Chalise (Tim) Swanson of Marion, Kyle (Kate) Hite of North Liberty and Marcus Hite and Colin Leidigh, both of Austin, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Li for her care and understanding. A very special thanks to Tracy Alshouse for years of excellent care and compassion.
Memorials may be directed to Mercy hospice in Chuck's name.
