IOWA CITY — University of Iowa police are searching for a 73-year-old man who went missing after the Iowa-Oregon football game at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday evening.
Jerome “Jerry” Lepperd — who police say is unfamiliar with the area and “may become easily confused or disoriented” — got separated from his group as they were leaving Kinnick around 6 p.m. He did not have access to a vehicle but might have been headed toward the Hancher parking lot, according to the UI Department of Public Safety.
He’s 5’9“ and 170 pounds, has blue eyes, light hair, and a bandage on his forehead from a recent surgery. He was last seen at Kinnick wearing glasses, a black rain jacket, black rain pants, and black tennis shoes. He might also have on a dark blue stocking hat, according to police.
Anyone with information about Lepperd’s whereabouts should contact the UI Police Department by calling 319-335-5022.
