CEDAR RAPIDS — Two people have died from what police believe were drug overdoses after first responders found multiple people suffering from drug-related health issues in a Cedar Rapids hotel, according to a press release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
First responders were called to a hotel in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue SW early in the morning on Monday, where they found “multiple people suffering what appeared to be drug-related health issues,” the release states.
CPR was administered to three people who were taken to a hospital, where two of them have since died. Police are investigating the deaths, and have not released the names of the deceased.
