Tia Schueler used to live at 215 15th Street NW. That is, until Tuesday night when three men came in through the unlocked back door, and held everyone inside at gunpoint.
"I was actually in the kitchen making a bottle for my son ,and I heard someone say get on the f-ing ground," said Nate Hall.
Hall was relaxing at home last night where he lives with his girlfriend Tia Schueler, two children, his parents, and two friends that have spent the last few nights.
"And I looked in the door from the kitchen into the living room, and I saw three black males holding everyone in here at gunpoint on the floor," said Hall.
Those intruders fired a gun inside, and hit one of the friends in the head with the gun. Blood is now all over the home.
Schueler was sitting on the couch with the kids.
"It was just all, happened really fast, cause I was getting my daughter to calm down cause she was crying and they kept telling me to shut them up," said Schueler.
Schueler said the men came looking for their friends, and asking for a safe. She said the two friends had previously lived in a rough part of Cedar Rapids.
Police said the intruders hit 20-year-old Andrew Jenings on the head with a gun.
Wednesday, Jenings and his other friend didn't want to talk to a crew from KCRG-TV9.
Hall says the suspects are about 6 feet tall with average builds.
"They all had masks on, his kept falling down and had a thin mustache, light skin. T-shirts tied around their face and had black hoodies on," said Hall.
Neighbors said this area, which isn't in any defined neighborhood in Cedar Rapids, is usually quiet.
Police are still investigating and haven't made any arrests.
