What to know: Nebraska and Iowa have been double-play partners since the Big Ten expansion to 18 teams, and the Huskers and Hawkeyes split their season series in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
Iowa won the first meeting this season, 86-76, at Iowa City on Jan. 1. The Hawkeyes overcame a one-point halftime deficit and won going away. Chit-Chat Wright scored 24 points for the Hawkeyes; Britt Prince tallied 27 for Nebraska.
The Hawkeyes snapped a three-game losing streak Wednesday by defeating No. 24 Washington, 65-56, at home. After allowing 86.7 points in the previous three games, Iowa yielded just 31 in the final three quarters against the Huskies.
With five games remaining in the Big Ten race, Iowa stands alone in fourth place. The top four teams earn a double-bye for the Big Ten tournament. Fifth-place Minnesota is a half-game behind the Hawkeyes and owns a potential tiebreaker.
Nebraska has lost four consecutive games, three away from home, all by double-figures. The skid has dropped the Huskers onto the NCAA tournament bubble.
Prince leads the Huskers at 17.4 points per game and is shooting 93.7 percent from the free-throw line.
