What to know: Nebraska is the Iowa’s lone “double-play” in the teams’ Big Ten schedule. The Hawkeyes and the Huskers split their games last season, with each team winning on the road.
In 2023-24, it was the opposite, with both teams defending their home court. Iowa also defeated Nebraska in the Big Ten tournament championship game, 94-89 in overtime, in Minneapolis that season.
This is the Hawkeyes’ first legitimate test in conference play. They whipped Rutgers (away) and Penn State (home) by counts of 79-36 and 99-76.
Nebraska suffered its first loss of the season on Monday, a 74-66 setback to USC, at Lincoln.
This is Nebraska’s lone road contest in an eight-game stretch.
Iowa leads the Big Ten in assists (22.0 per game), while Nebraska is No. 1 in the league in field goal percentage (.515).
Nebraska’s Britt Prince is sixth among league scorers, at 18.5 points per game. Iowa’s Hannah Stuelke is fourth in rebounds (8.4 per game).
