Iowa’s next game: Illinois (home), 8 p.m. Thursday
What to know: Though the regular-season home finale is Thursday, this is the game in which Iowa will honor its four seniors — Hannah Stuelke, Kylie Feuerbach, Taylor McCabe and Jada Gyamfi.
McCabe and Gyamfi are out with injuries, while Stuelke is questionable.
The Hawkeyes won without Stuelke on Thursday, jumping on Purdue early and coasting home for an 83-74 victory. Freshman Journey Houston made her first career start, matching a career-high with 16 points.
Taylor Stremlow established a career-high for the second game in a row, tallying 19 points — all in the first half.
Iowa has won three consecutive games (on the heels of a three-game losing streak) and stands alone in third place, a game behind second-place Michigan.
The Wolverines have won 11 of their last 12 conference games; the only setback in that stretch was a 69-66 home loss to No. 2 UCLA on Feb. 8.
Something big is brewing in Ann Arbor; the top four Michigan scorers are sophomores: Olivia Olson is at 19.1 points per game, followed by Syla Swords (14.5), Mila Holloway (12.9) and Te’Yala Delfosse (9.5).
Iowa has won the last five in the series, averaging 95.6 points in those five games. It was 79-66 in Ann Arbor last season.
