Pryce Sandfort is transferring from Iowa to Nebraska.
Sandfort, a 6-foot-7 forward from Waukee, played in all 33 games for the Hawkeyes this season and averaged 8.8 points. He scored in double-figures in each of Iowa’s last four games, including a 16-point, 11-rebound performance in its victory at Nebraska on March 9.
He made 40 percent of his 3-point shots (56-of-140).
He is the brother of Payton Sandfort, who scored 1,619 points in his four-year Iowa career.
Pryce Sandfort joins Owen Freeman (Creighton) and Brock Harding (TCU) as players from Iowa’s rotation who have found new homes since the firing of coach Fran McCaffery. Another, guard Josh Dix, transferred to Creighton.
