IOWA CITY -- Women’s basketball player Jada Gyamfi will miss a significant amount of time, perhaps the rest of the season, after undergoing a “medical procedure on her knee,” according to a release Thursday from the university.
Gyamfi is expected to miss action for the next three months and could return for postseason play.
“Though this is an unfortunate setback for Jada, I know that while she rehabs, she’ll continue to be a great Hawkeye teammate,” Iowa Coach Jan Jensen said in the release.
A 6-foot-1 senior forward from Johnston, Gyamfi has been one of the most popular Hawkeyes throughout her career.
She has played in four games this season and has compiled 55 points in her career. She was a member of the 2023 and 2024 NCAA national runner-up teams.
Gyamfi is set to graduate this spring with a degree in elementary education.
