What to know: Iowa unofficially lifted the lid on the Jan Jensen era last Wednesday with a 110-55 exhibition rout of Division-II Missouri Western.
Hannah Stuelke and Teagan Mallegni scored 18 points apiece and were joined in double figures by Kylie Feuerbach (14), Lucy Olsen (14) and Ava Heiden (10).
Mallegni and Heiden are freshmen; Olsen is a transfer from Villanova.
Jensen said Monday that Sydney Affolter is ahead of schedule in her recovery from an offseason knee procedure and could see action Wednesday.
This is the Hawkeyes’ first meeting with NIU since the 2017-18 season.
The Huskies opened their season Monday with a 57-55 win over Louisiana at home as part of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge.
Brooke Stonebraker’s putback with 29 seconds remaining turned out to be the winning points.
The Huskies were 15-16 last season.
A senior guard for the Huskies, Sidney McCrea was an all-stater at Cedar Rapids Prairie.
