Ethan Harris, a 4-star high school forward out of Washington state, announced Saturday that he has declined offers from homestate schools and has verbally committed to play at Iowa next year.
Harris had Gonzaga, Washington, Boise State and Iowa in his final four schools before giving the nod to the Hawkeyes. He is a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward who averaged 18.1 points and 8.1 rebounds as a junior for the Camas High Papermakers, who were 23-7 last season.
As a junior, Harris was named both Greater St. Helens League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
Harris is Iowa’s first commitment for the 2026 class. He visited Iowa in July. His sister, Addison Harris, is a sophomore basketball player at Montana State. His parents both played basketball at the University of Portland.
