The first NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships is a little more than a week away. The brackets and seeds will be released Friday during a selection show at NCAA.com.

Championship information: Brackets and seedings for each weight class will be announced during the Selection Show of the first NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships. The historic event, which is the 91st official championship sport, will be March 6-7 at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
The top three finishers in six regionals advance to the national tournament. Iowa qualified all 10 weights Saturday at a regional hosted by Simpson in Indianola. The Hawkeyes are among the top contenders with their whole team in the field, joining North Central (Ill.) College and McKendree (Ill.) University.
American Rivers Conference programs Dubuque, Simpson and Wartburg are represented. Seven Knights will compete in the championships, while the Spartans and Storm have two qualifiers apiece.
