Shooting leaves two injured Tuesday night

Two people were injured in a shooting near a southeast side restaurant Tuesday night.
Police were called to the 2800 block of Mount Vernon Road SE around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night. An adult man was found with at least one gunshot wound, according to a department news release. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment, though his injuries are not considered to be life threatening, the release said. A second person was taken to the hospital for a minor injury.
Police say there is no threat to the public and the incident remains under investigation. Two people were detained at the scene, however there was not any immediate indication of charges in the incident.
