One person killed in Tiffin shooting

One person died after a shooting in Tiffin Saturday, according to a press release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders were called to an apartment building at 445 Iris Ct., at 11:44 a.m. Saturday, where they found one person with a gunshot wound outside the building. The Johnson County Ambulance Service took the victim to University of Iowa Health Care-Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, the release states.
The sheriff’s office has not released the name of the victim, pending notification of family. No arrests have been made, but the release states there is no ongoing threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
