Dinner to honor Fred and Susan Mims

Fred Mims and Susan Mims will be honored with a tribute dinner on 6 p.m. Sept. 22 at Iowa City's Sheraton Hotel.
Fred Mims is a long-time Iowa associate athletics director and is charge of compliance and student services. Susan Mims is an Iowa City City Councilwoman and a certified financial planner with RDA Financial Network.

Community Corrections Improvement Association (CCIA) will be hosting a Tribute Dinner in honor of Fred and Susan Mims on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 6PM in Iowa City at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel.
Fred is currently an Associate Director of Athletics at the University of Iowa where he directs the office of Athletics Student Services, Compliance and has direct oversight of the sports of Wrestling and Baseball. He sits on the Board of Directors for the University of Iowa Community Credit Union, serves on Iowa's Sixth Judicial District Correctional Services Board of Directors and is Secretary for the Community Corrections Improvement Association Board of Directors. Susan is a Certified Financial Planner

with RDA Financial Network. She currently serves on the City Council for the City of Iowa City and is a member of the Economic Development Committee for the city. Both Fred and Susan are active in the community and are highly recognized in their fields.
The CCIA Tribute to Fred and Susan Mims will be a fundraising dinner for Community Corrections Improvement Association with proceeds to be used for continued support of CCIA programs and strategies. CCIA is a 501(c)3 foundation established in 1991 to build solutions for safer communities in the state of Iowa. CCIA's mission is to support community based corrections with community involvement, acceptance, and financial resources to establish and embrace pro-active programs that break the cycle of dysfunction for the family.
