UI Police investigate assault in dorm
University of Iowa Police officers are looking for a suspect who assaulted a woman in a dormitory bathroom early Thursday morning.
Police say that the woman was using the ninth floor men's bathroom in Slater Hall at around 3 a.m. when two males entered the room and turned off the lights. One of the suspects shoved her against the wall and made sexual comments.
Investigators say that the suspects assaulted the woman with the intent of sexual assault, but the woman was able to escape without injury.
Officials said that the suspect was a white male of average height, with darker hair and wore bluejeans and a T-shirt. The other male was shorter and heavier.
The investigation is ongoing.
