Cedar Rapids trucking firm's equipment to be sold
Trucks and trailers formerly used by RFK Transportation in Cedar Rapids will be sold at auction Wednesday at Hawkeye Downs in southwest Cedar Rapids.
VOCON Auctions of Des Moines will sell the equipment beginning at 10 a.m. Bids will be submitted in person as well as over the Internet.
RFK Transportation Founder Robert Kazimour and leasing companies owned by Kazimour family members retained title to the equipment and physical assets of the company after a merger with West Side Transport in Cedar Rapids. The merger ended with a lawsuit that has been submitted to binding arbitration.
