A look back at Eastern Iowa’s three sets of quadruplets

12 kids — now teens — thriving 14 years later

The last time the Eastridge, Grady and McCalmant children visited The Gazette, they were significantly smaller. It was December 1998. The three families arrived at The Gazette with multiple baby carriers. The heat in the photo studio was cranked up to 85 degrees to keep the 12 babies warm in their diapers and Santa hats. [...]

QUADS.122398.DLH--Three sets of quadruplets were born in eastern Iowa this past year. The familys gathered recently in the Gazette photo studio for each set's portrait. One photograph from each set of quads was then composed together in Photoshop 5.0, a computer program, to make this montage. The four babys at left are (from left to right,) Alyssa, Kara, Lindsey and Ashley Grady, the eight and a half month old quadruplets of Dan and Kim Grady of Cedar Rapids. The center four babies are Andrew, Allen, Aaran and Kassidy McCalmant, the two and a half month old quads of Debbie and Jerry McCalmant of Cedar Rapids. The grouping of four babies at right (from left to right) are Chad, Amanda, Katie and Emily Eastridge, the eight and a half month old quads bornto Mike and Jody Eastridge of High Amana.

Des Moines-born quadruplets to be featured on TLC reality show

Emme, Sophie, Brady and Max Dotzler are already making their national television debut and they aren’t even five months old. The Dotzler quadruplets, along with their parents James and Casey Dotzler, of Des Moines, will be featured on the Monday episode of “Make Room for Multiples,” a reality-based television show on The Learning Channel.
