Cedar Rapids man caught stealing mini fridge, other items from middle school

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man has been charged with burglary after he was caught stealing a mini fridge and other items from a local middle school.
According to a Linn County Attorney's Office criminal complaint, officers were called to Franklin Middle School, 300 29th St. NE, on Wednesday after an alarm was triggered. Responding officers found 36-year-old Brian J. Jarnagin inside the school, carrying a mini fridge taken from an office. Jarnagin was also carrying a backpack containing a laptop, iPod docking system and other items, authorities said.
Jarnagin was arrested and faces one count of third-degree burglary.
