CORALVILLE - Drury Inn & Suites, a family-owned Missouri-based chain of hotels, is planning a 180-room location in Coralville's Iowa River Landing.
Drury Development Corp. on Thursday said the hotel will have meeting space. Guests will be served breakfast, have access to free Internet Wi-Fi service, and be able end their day with complimentary food and drinks.
'Iowa River Landing was a natural fit for us due to its convenient location and many amenities, including the proximity of the UIHC clinic and surrounding businesses,” said John Dirnberger, director of development at Drury Development Corp., in a statement.
St. Louis-based Drury Hotels Co., corporate parent of Drury Development and Drury Inn & Suites, operates more than 130 hotels in 21 states, including a location in West Des Moines. Founded in 1973, the company's brands include Drury Inn & Suites, Drury Inn, Drury Plaza Hotel, Drury Suites and Pear Tree Inn by Drury.
Iowa River Landing, a 180-acre mixed-use development, is anchored by the 286-room Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. With 330,000 square feet of retail, office, residential and entertainment space, it also is home to the University of Iowa Health Care's medical clinic, Homewood Suites and Von Maur.
