Wulff, Darold L.
Darold L. Wulff, 87, of Clarence, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, St. John’s United Church of Christ, Clarence, with the Rev. David Mears officiating. Burial: St. John’s Cemetery, Clarence. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; a daughter, Marilyn (Howard) Hansen of Lowden; a son, Kevin (Debbie) of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; grandchildren, Craig (Molly) Hansen, Chad (Sonu) Hansen, Carrie (Jeff) Pruess, and Grace, Alec, Isaac and Callista Wulff; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Verna Petersen and Elda Wagner of Tipton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Darold was born June 30, 1925, in Cedar County to Ernest and Viola Dettmann Wulff. He married Donna Mae Miller March 10, 1946 at Clarence. Darold was a lifelong member of the church. He was a farmer and a Funks and Golden Harvest seed corn dealer for 50 years and also sold Anamosa Silos. Darold enjoyed teasing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to help his family, including taking them on vacations. Darold had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing cards with his buddies in the mornings. After retirement, Darold liked going out and visiting with farmers along with taking trips with his wife.
