Catherine Winifred Valandingham

Catherine Winifred Valandingham, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center following a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, by the Rev. Ivan Nienhaus. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday at Teahen Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.

Catherine is survived by her son, Jim; two daughters, Janice and Jeanie; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis; and granddaughter, Heather.

Catherine was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Mary (Welch) Dyson.
