Abel Torres

Abel Torres, 58, of Iowa City, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty, where visitation will be from 3 p.m. Sunday until services at the church. Graveside services will be held at noon Monday at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Abel’s memory.

His family includes his children, Christian (Nancy) Torres, Hector (Yessica) Torres, Romario (Sara) Torres and Maurilia Torres; grandchildren, Yareli I. Torres and Hector A. Torres; brothers, Jose Torres and Abdias Torres; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Isabel Torres, Emmanuel Torres and George Torres.
