Barbara Janet Sufficool, 88, of Guttenberg, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Community Nursing Home in Perry, Iowa. A graveside service is planned in the spring at Hazleton Cemetery in Hazelton, Iowa. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Nancy Sawyer of Perry; grandchildren, Sarah Hathaway, Benjamin Sufficool, Ruth Sawyer, Geoffrey Sawyer, Joan Sawyer and Karen Sawyer; and great-grandchildren, Tatum, Nash, Tucker, Alexis, Alaric and Gwendolyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband,Glenn A. Sufficool Jr.; and her son, Glenn A. Sufficool III.

Barbara Janet Lapham was born Sept. 28, 1924, to Benjamin and Mildred (Clark) Lapham in Waterloo, Iowa. She married Glenn A. Sufficool Jr. on St. Patrick’s Day in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Both Barbara and her husband worked at Rockwell Collins, until retiring to live and fish on Essman Island.
