Stuckenbruck, Dale Lee
Dale Lee Stuckenbruck, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Westridge Care Center.
Dale was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Belle Plaine, on the family farm. He was the son of Clifford and Muralda (Schuchert) Stuckenbruck. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School and then served in the Navy from 1947 to 1949, where he was on a ship that participated in Bikini Atoll in the Pacific Ocean.
On Oct. 8, 1955, he married Anna Maria Miceli at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tama. He was a member of NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dale worked for McKessons, Cutter Lab and retired from the Cedar Rapids Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Stuckenbruck; sister-in-law, Esther Miceli of Cedar Rapids; brother-in-law, Sam (Bette) Miceli of California; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Violet and husband, Bob Cherveny; brother-in-law, Jim Miceli; and sister-in-law, Vita and husband Warren Plavets.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be private at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine, Iowa.
Anna would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Westridge Care Center. They gave wonderful care to Dale over the last 2 ½ years. St. Luke’s Hospice also provided great care. A special thanks to the entire hospice staff, including Susan, Nancy and Jeremy.
