Aila Marie Stoner

Aila Marie Stoner, 93, a resident of Northbrook Manor passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.

Aila was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Johnson County, Iowa, to Leonard and Gertrude (Lawrence) Eakes. Aila received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and she also attended Browns Business College and Chicago School of Design and Decorating. Aila was a member of New Encounters (Charter Member), Quota Club and the Women in Construction organization.

Aila is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents; three brothers; and one sister.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with a visitation to be held before the service at 10 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
