Jean Ford Stewart

Mrs. Jean Ford Stewart, 86, of Cedar Rapids, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. Funeral Services: 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Murdoch Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Tim Dyck. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas of Ocean Springs Miss., and J.T. of Atlanta, Ga.; her granddaughter, Holly Stewart of Atlanta; her older brother, Ralph Ford of Wichita, Kan.; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Stewart.

Mrs. Stewart was a lifelong homemaker and resident of Cedar Rapids. Born Oct. 4, 1926, in Okmulgee, Okla., Mrs. Stewart was the daughter of Rolla and Frances (Lothian) Ford.
