James Starr

James Starr, 76, of Ryan, died at his home on Wednesday morning, Dec. 5, 2012.

Survivors include three children, Rose (Ken Clemen) Starr of Springville, Peggy (Chris Allen) Starr of Springville and James A. (Tammy) Starr of Manchester; one grandson, Travis (Samantha) Brown of Marion; three great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Cheyenne Coons and Ashley Beachel; two great-great-grandchildren, Ryker and Xaiden; and four siblings, Donald (Louise) Starr of Knoxville, Velma McNeill of Monticello, Carl (Bertha) Starr Jr, of Manchester, and Donna Smock of Ryan.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Ermina, on Oct. 11, 2005; his parents, Carl and Etta Starr; one granddaughter, Nakiah Sue Starr; three sisters, Erma Evers, Burnita Francis and Dorothy Wilken; and two brothers, George and Frank Starr.

Joint visitation for James and his late wife, Ermina Starr: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Prayer Service: 7 p.m. (following the visitation), by the Rev. Timothy Miller. Burial at a later date.
