Les Smith, 65, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Cedar Rapids, went to God’s arms on Nov. 27, 2012. Cancer took his life but not his faith.

Survivors include his wife, Clancy Smith; son, Benjamin (Holly); grandsons, Jaden and Zander Smith; and aunts, Elayne Wiekum and Margie Smith, all of Lincoln.

He was retired from Intermec, Fiserv and Lincoln Public Schools.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 16th and Superior, Lincoln.

Memorials to Hearts United for Animals, Auburn, Neb., or American Cancer Society (designate for kidney cancer research).
