Sisco, Evelyn
Evelyn Sisco of Marion, died at home on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. As per her wishes, there will be no services. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Sisco Jr. and David Sisco, both of Cedar Rapids; her daughters, Carol Hinze of Rochester, Minn. and Debra Tallman of Marion; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Brandi, Casey, Mindy, McKenzie, Shaun, Tia and Brandon; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Broken Bow, Neb., the daughter of Lyle and Lillian (Gano) Deal. She married Richard Sisco Sr. on Feb. 22, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. Richard and Evelyn owned and operated Sisco’s Hairstyling for many years. She greatly enjoyed dancing several times a week, working in her yard and talking on the phone with her friends every night. Evelyn will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Janet Kay; and her husband, Richard.
