Jeffrey L. "Gus" Schumacher

Jeffrey L. “Gus” Schumacher, 54, of High Amana, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Marengo Memorial Hospital, Marengo. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Middle Amana Community Church, Middle Amana. Burial will be in the High Amana Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Jeffrey is survived by his son, Tyler Schumacher of Iowa City; his mother, Shirley Burns of Oxford; two brothers, Mark (Shelly) of Amana and Kevin (Teresa) of Jefferson City, Mo.; a sister, Connie Pegump (John) of Walford; and his significant other, Julie Jeck of High Amana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Schumacher.
