Carl "Dudy" Ryan

Carl “Dudy” Ryan, 84, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Buchanan County Long Term Care Center in Independence. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Winthrop. Burial: St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Winthrop. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and until 10 a.m. Thursday at Fawcett Funeral Home, Winthrop. A Scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of Independence; two daughters, Deanna (Jerry) Naber of Winthrop and Donna (Steve) Buchanan of Charles City; one son, Dan Ryan of Winthrop; six grandchildren, Jeremy Ryan, Michael Naber, Stevonna Blair, Ryan Buchanan, Connor Ryan and Nicole Ryan; and one sister, Shirley Tinker of Sun Prairie, Wis.
