Lillian Lorene Rice

Lillian Lorene Rice, 94, of Cedar Rapids, entered into eternal peace, to be embraced by her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, following a brief illness. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Peace Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. Gary Brouwers presiding. There is a visitation one hour before the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.

Lorene is survived by her children, Lloyd (Donna) Banks, Paula (Butch) Shoop, Cleo Banks and Stan Banks; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her husbands, Cleo Edward Banks and Edward W. Rice; and a daughter, Mary Lou McQuown.

Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be given in Lorene’s name to Mercy Hospice or Peace Christian Reformed Church.
