Dorothy J. Rhinehart

Dorothy J. Rhinehart, 67, of Brooklyn, Iowa, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Grace United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, with Shirley VanDee officiating. Burial will be at Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial fund has been established.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Richard; four sons, Marvin (Leigh) Hilligas of Ladora, Mark (Trudy) Hilligas of Brooklyn, Lee (Becky) Hilligas of Mesa, Ariz., and Lynn (Debbie) Rhinehart of North Liberty; three stepchildren, Darla (Tim) Ingersoll of Brooklyn, Mark (Kayleen) Rhinehart of Brooklyn, and Steve (Jennifer) Rhinehart of Brooklyn; eight grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Also surviving are eight brothers, six sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Grace Paul McDonald; and a brother, Kenny in infancy.
