Gregory J. Postel

Gregory J. Postel, 58, of Independence, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at his home near Independence. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, with the Rev. Scott Meador officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Winthrop. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Hansen, Walker; two grandchildren, Owen and Abby Hansen; three brothers, Gary Postel, Plymouth, Minn., Jeff Postel, Arden Hills, Minn. and Lynn Postel of Burnsville, Minn.; and a sister, Diane Lawless, Evansdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Gregory J. Postel Memorial Fund, c/o Veridian Credit Union, 1900 Third Ave. SE, Independence, IA 50644.
