Kenneth D. Pfeifer

Kenneth D. Pfeifer, 54, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. Del Bear. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the funeral home. Entombment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Pfeifer of Cedar Rapids; father, Robert (Kareen) Pfeifer of Park Rapids, Minn.; children, Sarah (Andrew) Sanner of Davenport and Zach Pfeifer of Cedar Rapids; and siblings, Mike (Pam) Pfeifer of Park Rapids, Duane (Susie) Pfeifer of Machesney Park, Ill., Danaya Pfeifer of Portland, Ore., and Sharon McCarville of The Colony, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Pfeifer; and infant twin sisters, Diane and Luann Pfeifer.

Kenneth was born Jan. 18, 1959, in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Robert and Teresa (Beck) Pfeifer. He graduated from Columbus High School in Waterloo in 1978. He attended Hawkeye Tech College for architecture drafting. On April 12, 1980, he married Christine McGrane in Waterloo. They moved to Cedar Rapids, where he worked as an electrical designer at Shive Hattery for 30 years. He liked to collect Hawkeye and Coca Cola merchandise.
