Clarence Lester Olswold

Clarence Lester Olswold, 92, of Amana, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Colonial Manor of Amana in Amana. Per his wishes, his body was donated to the University of Iowa for medical research. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walford, with the Rev. David Mosher officiating. The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be contributed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Walford.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Clarice; his sons, Eugene of New Ulm, Minn., Allen (Kathy) of DeSoto, Texas, Charles (Alice) of Muscatine, Richard (Bonnie) of Middlesex, N.Y., and Ronald (Debbie) of Walford; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillie (Bagstad) Olswold; along with a sister, Mae Lugg.
