David L. Morgan

David L. Morgan, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; children, David Lloyd (Michelle) Morgan and Debbie (Jerry) Morgan; stepchildren, Kevin (Natalie) Menadue, Christine Menadue and Chad (Kate) Pliester; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis.

Born Sept. 21, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, David was the son of Lloyd and Emma (Stepanek) Morgan. On Nov. 6, 1980, he was united in marriage to Joyce Kennedy at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He was a security office at St. Luke’s for 43 years.

Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in David’s memory.
