Bob McElrath

Bob McElrath, 69, of Urbana, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at the Iowa City VA Health Care System following a sudden illness. Memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon McElrath of Urbana; mother-in-law, Delores Newton of Urbana; two daughters, Deb (Mark) Harrison of Shellsburg and Kim (Steve) Pribyl of Cedar Rapids; one son, Jerauld (Christina Curry) McElrath of Urbana; three sisters, Janice Hainey of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Nancy (Roger) Newton of Urbana and Joyce Lint of Center Point; four grandchildren, Mitch and Gordy Harrison and Matthew and Jarret McElrath; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
