Steven L. Mallie

Steven L. Mallie, 64, of 525 Coral Dr., Hiawatha, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Per Steve’s request, there will be no service or visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; his father, Lloyd of Mount Vernon; a brother, Wayne; a sister, Carol; and a brother-in-law, John Burger of Mesa, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda; and his mother.

Steve was born Oct. 24, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Lloyd and Doris Chapin Mallie. He married Linda L. Burger on Sept. 18, 1976, in Cedar Rapids. Steve worked in housekeeping at St. Luke’s Hospital for 28 years, retiring in 1998.

Steve enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, collecting tractors and trains and especially the time spent with his beloved family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial fund has been established.
