John Ralph Lipcamon

John Ralph Lipcamon, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Chaplain Deb Black. Family will greet friends from noon until service time.

Survivors include children, Sharon (John) Wiese of Marion, Nancy (Rick) Rosendahl of Fairfax, Barbara “Barb” Gusta of Cedar Rapids, John D. (Karen) Lipcamon of Cedar Rapids, Marilyn (Steve) Schmitz of Marion and Retta (Bob) Rice of Shellsburg; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Dean (Evelyn) Lipcamon of Solon; and sisters-in-law, Jean of Solon and Norma of Perry, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Lipcamon; and siblings, Paul Lipcamon, Earl Lipcamon, Mary Ella McGlassen and Jullian Lipcamon.

John was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Pittsfield, Ill., son of Arthur and Mary Lipcamon. He worked at Cedar Rapids Block as a truck driver for 30 years. John served in the United States Navy during World War II.
