Lenz, Lois Sue Noggle
Lois Sue Noggle Lenz, 61, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in her Mechanicsville home, surrounded by her family, from a long illness. Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon Chapel, by celebrant Mary Morgan. The family will greet friends Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the chapel. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
Surviving Lois are her husband, Jerry; two sons, Chad and Brad Tenney, all of Mechanicsville; a stepdaughter, Rhonda (Darin) Herum, Cedar Falls; two sisters, Sara Lyn (Jim) Schneider, Cedar Rapids, and April (Kevin) Neuendorf, Hiawatha; and nine grandchildren.
Preceding Lois in death were her parents, Lloyd and Dolores Cramer Noggle; and a sister, Corrine Noggle Robison.
Lois was born Sept. 11, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Washington High School, Cedar Rapids, in 1966. She worked as an assembler for Collins Radio, retiring in 2009. Lois was a member of the I.B.E.W. Union, Cedar Rapids, where she was a union steward. She married Jerry Lenz on Aug. 12, 1976, in Cedar Rapids.
Lois enjoyed reading, playing on the computer, her flowers and pond, living in the country, and loved her grandchildren. Lois was a strong brave person who battled cancer twice and fought hard for every day of her life. She was loved and will be missed.
The family would like to thank all who cared for her over the years.
Immediately following Lois’s funeral, a light lunch will be served in the Morgan Community Room.
