Lenoch, LeRoy C.
LeRoy C. Lenoch, 89, of Coralville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the Iowa City VA Health Care System. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Lensing’s Oak Hill in Coralville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Coralville. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City.
Memorials may be made to the Iowa City VA Health Care System for Honor Flight.
LeRoy Lenoch was born June 21, 1923, in Iowa City, to James and Emma (Villhauer) Lenoch. He graduated from Iowa City High School in 1941. LeRoy enlisted into the United States Army in 1943, serving in World War II and was later injured in the Battle of The Bulge. On Nov. 18, 1946, LeRoy married Mary Ann Sibley at Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City. He was an independent contractor his entire life before retirement.
Survivors include his 7 children, Dan Lenoch of North Liberty, Steve (Geri) Lenoch of Coralville, Vicki Lenoch of Maryland, Doug (Mary) Lenoch of Coralville, Jeanne (Bob) Stubbs of Downey, Jay (Marlene) Lenoch of North Liberty and Cindy (Garry) Gleason of Iowa City; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; his parents; and two sons, David Lenoch and Johnny Lenoch.
