Mabel Kruse, 105, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Northbrook Manor. Memorial Services: 9 a.m. Jan. 25, 2013, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque.

Mabel is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Kruse; niece, Kathi (Tom) Heiser; nephew, Dennis Kruse; great-niece, Kimberly Heiser; great-nephew, Michael Heiser, all of California; and friends, Verla Horner and Donna Fugate of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Mabel was born Jan. 8, 1908, in Dubuque. She graduated from the University of Iowa. She retired from United Fire Group in 1974. Mabel enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
