Kroeze, Arnolda M. “Nolda”
Arnolda M. “Nolda” Kroeze, 78, of Iowa City, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Iowa City.The Very Reverend Rudolph Juarez will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. A parish vigil service will begin at 7p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Iowa City.

Nolda was born Jan. 17, 1935, in Beesd, Holland, the daughter of Josephus and Clara (VanRoden) Krielen. She married Alex E. Kroeze on June 30, 1960, in Beesd, Holland. The family moved to Iowa City from Holland in 1967. The couple owned and operated Sand Road Orchards and were in the fruit business for many years.Nolda has been a member of St. Patrick’s Church since that time.
Survivors include her children, Charl (Nancy) Kroeze of Iowa City, Carol Seaman of Iowa City, Lia Kroeze (Lucio Manzo) of Bloomington, Ill. and Norma (Tim) Head of Twin Lakes, Wis.;her grandchildren, Rachael, Alex, Emma, Hannah, Zach, Bella, Domenic, Allie, Sammie, T.J., Randy and Jake; two brothers, Theo Krielen and Gerard Krielen, both of Holland; and many nieces and

Nolda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1993; three brothers, Jan, Adrian and Bertus; and four sisters, Greet, Stien, Betsy and Riek.
